Welcome. I am Mostafa Mirshekari.I am currently leading search and machine learning efforts in Searcheble.ai. I have joined searchable as a senior ML research scientist and have worked on very cool research projects for NLP and Document Layout Analysis. Prior to joining Searchable, I have been a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University and before that, I got my Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University working with Haeyoung Noh and Pei Zhang. The main theme of my research at Stanford and CMU has been Physics-guided machine learning.

I am the session co-chair of 'MS94+23 - Integration of Physics-Based Models with Data for Model Identification, Updating, and Uncertainty Quantification, Robustness of infrastructures' in EMI 2019 with Babak Moaveni.
I am the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the CEE department, CMU.
I am co-chairing the 1st ACM International Workshop on Device-Free Human Sensing (DFHS) with Shijia Pan.
Our poster titled "Gait Health Monitoring Through Footstep-Induced Floor Vibrations" won the best poster award in CPS Week 2019.
Our paper titled "MedAL: Accurate and Robust Deep Active Learning for Medical Image Analysis" won the best paper award in ICMLA 2018.
